At Designmai, Berlin, Ines Tartler and Ulrike Solbrig opened a culottes workshop. Anyone was invited
to manufacture their own culottes or to buy one from the sansculottes-collection. "Sans-Culottes"
originally was a term naming a faction of rebelling workers during the French Revolution. This connection
suits the culottes well, as they have played their role in the revolution of female emancipation.
A trend scout from japan design net wrote: "In the 70s we also had them in japan but this one is more like a skirt; it has a new feeling!"
